IEI’s Remote Readiness Attributed to The Technical Team
IEI gives great commendation to Enos Marongwe, founder and owner of Zymtek, IEI’s Tech Support team. As a result of Mr. Marongwe’s forethought and readiness, IEI was more than prepared to conduct business during this unprecedented time. The appropriate tools were in place when our leaders made the decision to employ a shelter-in-place for all offices. The firm was prepared to both support remote staff as well as continue to serve clients and partners.
We have utilized the services of Zymtek on multiple occasions and have establised a working relationship with them for our current technical support and we are completely satisfied with the service provided.
This (Remote-Work) Readiness included secure remote access to servers and software licenses, as well as collaboration tools, which allowed effortless integration for remote workers. Earlier in the year, Zymtek conducted a training on Microsoft 365 software and introduced Microsoft Teams as a remote collaboration tool. Microsoft Teams is a virtual program for collaborative and cross-functional work, group discussions and document sharing. Its adoption and firmwide training was timely and effective as departments continue to support the business operations and the firm continues to deliver to clients.
Enos and his technology team are remotely supporting the technical needs of our staff and leaders, and has been a resource to other firms and agencies. We applaud and appreciates Zymtek’s support, our remote-work readiness has sustained business operations and has helped the firm to continue to move forward productively. When Infrastructure Engineering Inc started in 1997 and established its first office; the firm retained an IT consultant that installed IEI first network of computers and a server.
The system did not work at all and it adversely affected our project delivery for several weeks that resulted in damaging a relationship with a significant client. I asked around for another IT consultant and one of IEI’s first employee, Tapiwa Ziewenga recommended his friend, Enos Marongwe.
Enos repaired/fixed the IEI network and has been with the firm for 22 years first as an employee and then as a consultant when he started his own company Zymtek. Since Enos has been Managing IEI’s computer system we have had no major disruptions to our services. Because of his forward thinking IEI was well prepared for remote work and shelter in place that was caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
All of our staff of approximately 100 people had laptop computers and access to IEI’s servers as per VPN and was ready to work from home when the pandemic struck. While working in and hopefully through the pandemic; Enos has implemented retaining an additional ISP as backup so that when one ISP is disrupted the firm can switch over to the other ISP and keep our people productive to deliver the expected services to our clients.
Enos knows his business and also has a great personality; I would not hesitate to recommend him to other entities no matter how large or small.
